1st Place Bills coast….I think that sounds right!!

Winless St Louis Rams…Undefeated Buffalo Bills…hmmmmmm I wonder who I am going to give the edge to here…

 

Trent Edwards vs. Trent Green….not everyday you get a Trent v. Trent match up. I really think that a Trent is going to come out on top here. The last time Trent Green was playing was when he was getting destroyed in Miami because he couldn’t move around enough. So a few years later and he is back. The last time we saw Trent Edwards he was leading his second game winning drive in consecutive weeks.

Marshawn is still waiting to break out big time. His touchdowns are up and he is getting the tough yardage when it is needed, but I am sure he would like a nice easy game here. Steven Jackson is one of the most talented backs in the game but I have to give the edge to the happier and almost equally talented back here.

Torry Holt is a great receiver, but he was better with Issac Bruce next to him. With no other real threat with him in the WR corps, teams can just double him and keep him quiet. Lee Evans is benefiting from more consistent play around him and is getting less double teams. Although he is averaging over 20 yards per catch, I think this is the week he gets into the end zone for the first time.

The offensive lines both feature a premier left tackle with Jason Peters and Orlando Pace, the only difference is that Peters is just starting and Pace is on his last legs. St Louis wasn’t able to protect Marc Bulger, which led to him getting benched so I have to give the edge to the Bills who are protecting Trent Edwards very well so far this year.

Chris Long and Leonard Little are expected to make a big impact for the Rams this year, and this might be the best unit that they can put together, but with all the turmoil that they are going through, they are interchanging parts just hoping to get a spark. On the other hand the Bills D-line is playing with fire still and is looking like a top 5 unit in the league.

Linebackers….hmmm gotta do some research here cause I really don’t know who the Rams linebackers are….yeah still never heard of them. At least league wide people know who the Bills linebackers are, so in my completely biased judgment…

Ok same thing with the secondary. If the only person I have ever heard of is Corey Chavous then I am still not going to give them an edge here either. Plus I really like how our secondary is working.

Special teams took a huge hit this week with the loss of Roscoe Parrish. And St Louis does have the forgotten special teams wizard, Dante Hall. He always scares me, but I still think that our return men match up well, and we have better kickers.

Coaching is unfair again because we are facing another coach that might be fired if they lose to us. Scott Linehan is a coach that has now divided his locker room by benching their general Marc Bulger.

So yes I know that I had a clean sweep last week and even though we won, it was a little too close for comfort. This week should be easier since this St Louis team has shown no signs of life. At least Oakland had just won a game before giving us a fight, St Louis has just been beat into the ground time and time again.

 

Bills 28 Rams 10, I think that Lee Evans gets his first touchdown, Marshawn and Freddie Jackson both punch it in, and I am going to say that we get a defensive touchdown from Jabari Greer to round out the scoring. A nice easy game that sees us go up early and then coast the rest of the game. GO BILLS!!!
