This week theme is going to be quarterback play and what it means to each team in the league….

1. Patriots (1) Tom Brady is on pace to completely destroy Peyton Manning’s single season touchdown record.

2. Colts (2) Peyton Manning is still in position to lead his Colts into an epic battle with the Patriots. He might not be putting up the same type of stats but he is still winning games.

3. Cowboys (3) Good bounce back game for Tony Romo and the Cowboys. Romo was efficient and play mistake free.

4. Packers (5) Brett Favre has led his team to a 5-1 record without any help from the running game. His play is what keeps that team going.

5. Giants (15) Eli Manning takes his team across the pond to play Miami this week, and if he continues to play with a fire that has not been seen by him since his drafting, there is no reason to think that his team won’t be coming back with a win.

6. Steelers (4) Ben Roethlisberger threw for 4 touchdowns in his last game…but he also threw two interceptions and lost a fumble, which could be why his team is sitting at 4-2 instead of 5-1. 7. Titans (6) Vince Young needs to come back if he wants to keep his team in contention for the playoffs because you cannot count on your kicker for 8 field goals every game. 8. Jaguars (7) David Garrad is out with an injured ankle and his replace Quinn Gray looked anything but stellar in relief. 9. Chargers (14) Phillip Rivers needs to say screw the coaches and give the ball to LT whenever and wherever he can. 10. Redskins (8) Jason Campbell had an off week against the Cardinals, but his team snuck out a win. He will have to play near perfect football for his team to challenge the Pats. 11. Lions (19) Jon Kitna is backing up his words from earlier this year by having the Lions in contention almost halfway through the year. 12. Panthers (17) Ok so this one is tough, Jake Delhomme looked good, David Carr looked bad, and Vinny Testaverde looks serviceable.

13. Seahawks (10) Matt Hasselback is probably one of the most underrated QB’s in the league. All this guy does is get his team in position to win.

14. Chiefs (22) Damon Huard is keeping his team in the AFC West division race without the weapons that other teams have.

15. Buccaneers (9) Jeff Garcia is playing out of his mind this year. Like he did last year, and the year before that. Why has this guy not been able to stay in one place long enough to get anything going?

16. Ravens (12) Kyle Boller is not the answer for this team, and if Steve McNair can’t get back on the field then their season is probably over.

17. Broncos (18) Jay Cutler is playing good football but the real story is that in all three wins he has driven his team down the field and given Jason Elam his chance to hit three game winning kicks.

18. Browns (26) Derek Anderson has been a revelation to this team this year. I mean I was going to go the Bills vs. Browns game to see Brady Quinn play but I don’t think that is going to happen this year.

19. Bears (16) Rex Grossman is out and Brian Griese is in and winning games. Sounds good for Chicago.

20. Cardinals (11) Kurt Warner was giving Matt Leinhardt a run for his money before the injury and now he is showing the guts that made him an MVP.

21. Texans (13) Matt Schaub was playing good ball, and Sage Rosenfels almost led the team back against the Titans.

22. Eagles (25) Donavon McNabb is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but his team is not playing too well right now.

23. Bills (23) Trent Edwards is trying to correct JP Losmans mistakes. This team should be 4-2, not 2-4.

24. Saints (30) Drew Brees is not having the magical season that he did last year but he can still get his team into the playoffs with a magical ending.

25. Bengals (24) Carson Palmer is having a disappointing season for the Bengals. Despite his stats his team is losing and that is not good enough.

26. Raiders (20) Daunte Culpepper is leading this team to a completely different season.

27. 49ers (21) Alex Smith went down and so did the hopes for this team because Trent Dilfer is not looking too good.

28. Vikings (27) Tarvaris Jackson is wasting Adrain Peterson’s great season.

29. Falcons (29) Joey Harrington was not good, Bryon Leftwich is hurt after one start, and now they have to turn to Chris Redman. 30. Jets (28) Chad Pennington is on his way out and Kellen Clemens has not looked like a real answer. 31. Dolphins (31) Trent Green was supposed to give this team a chance to win, but now Cleo Lemon is taking over the losing team. 32. Rams (32) Marc Bulger cannot be blamed for this horrible season in St Louis. This was fun, maybe next week we will look at how the running backs affect their teams.
